It is a synthetic drug that acts as an aminosulfonyl heterocycle and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. 4-(Trifluoroacetyl)morpholine is also known for its use as a precursor to the organolithium reagent, Grignard reagent, sulfoxide, trifluoromethoxy, and carboxylic acid.
