2,3,4,6-Tetrafluorobromobenzene is a reagent in organic chemistry that is used for the synthesis of substituted pyridines from furans. It can be obtained by the coupling of 2,3,4,6-tetrafluorobenzyne with copper and bromine or by the cycloaddition reaction of 1-bromo-2,3,4,6-tetrafluorobenzene with copper and pyridine. The analogous 2-bromo-1-(2,3,4,6-tetrafluorophenyl)ethane can also be synthesized from 2-bromopyridine and 2,3,4,6-tetrafluorophenol.
2,3,4 6 Tetrafluorobromobenzene has been shown to react with x-rays to yield crystalline structures.
