4-(Trifluoromethyl)benzohydrazide is a cholinesterase inhibitor that has been shown to have minimal inhibitory concentrations against trichophyton mentagrophytes. It interacts with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which is found in mammalian cells and targets bacterial α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. This drug inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, thereby preventing the breakdown of neurotransmitter acetylcholine. 4-(Trifluoromethyl)benzohydrazide also interacts with other proteins by forming hydrogen bonds, inhibiting candida glabrata growth and other microbial species.
