Description:
4-[2-[4-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)-3H-diazirin-3-yl]phenyl]ethoxy]quinazoline is a reagent, research, ligand that has been shown to inhibit the oxidoreductase activity of ubiquinone. It binds to the FAD cofactor and prevents the formation of the Q-FADH2 intermediate. This agent also inhibits reductive amination reactions, such as those catalyzed by the enzyme azide: chloride reductase. 4-[2-[4-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)-3H-diazirin-3-yl]phenyl]ethoxy]quinazoline is an analog of chloroform and sodium azide.
