Description:
2-Vinylbenzoic acid is a film-forming polymer that has been used as an oxidation catalyst in chemical reactions. It can be used as a cross-linking agent for hydroxyl groups, carbonyl groups and aromatic hydrocarbons. 2-Vinylbenzoic acid has also been used to bind magnetic particles, which are then used in biological samples to detect radiation and aliphatic hydrocarbons. This compound is also known to react with diazonium salt to form a yellow solution.
