Product Information
Walrycin B is a small molecule that belongs to the group of regulatory agents. It interacts with subtilis, which are bacteria that grow in aqueous environments with high salt concentrations. Walrycin B has been shown to interact with coronaviruses and inhibit their replication by interfering with the transcriptional regulation of genes involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids. This compound also inhibits the growth of wild-type strains of subtilis by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, resulting in reduced production of cationic surfactants.
