Description:
p-Xylene glycoldimethyl ether is an organic compound that can be used as a crosslinker and a monomer. It is also used as an industrial preparation for calcium stearate, sodium salts, and bifunctional agents. The naphthalene group in p-xylene glycoldimethyl ether reacts with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid to produce the corresponding quaternary ammonium salt. In the presence of an acid catalyst, this reaction system produces a water vapor.
