Description:
Zinc p-toluenesulfonate is a chemical compound with the formula Zn(CH)SO. It is a white solid that is insoluble in water and acetonitrile. The optimal reaction temperature for it is around 90 °C, and it has good light resistance. This compound can be prepared by reacting magnesium with p-toluenesulfonic acid chloride in an organic solvent, followed by purification. Preparative methods are also available.
