Description:

Zinc dibenzyldithiocarbamate is a chemical crosslinking agent that reacts with mycobacterial RNA polymerase at the active site. It is a zinc diethyldithiocarbamate and dehydroabietic acid complex that can be used to inhibit the growth of mycobacteria. Zinc dibenzyldithiocarbamate has also been shown to react with human mitochondrial DNA, forming hydrogenated complexes. These complexes are stabilized by magnesium ions and monocarboxylic acids, which are found in fatty acids.
