Description:

D-Glyceric acid sodium is a fatty acid that is used in detergent compositions and pharmaceutical preparations. It has been shown to have a variety of functions in recombinant cells, including plant physiology. D-Glyceric acid sodium can be detected by an L-tartaric acid method after an incubation time of 24 hours. The detection sensitivity of this compound can be enhanced with the use of glycerol. Aerobacter aerogenes is the type strain for this compound. Neutral pH values are most favorable for detection, but it can be detected at low pH levels as well.
