Description:
Tridecylcyclohexane is a fatty acid that belongs to the group of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is synthesized from the reaction of acetylene with water vapor. Tridecylcyclohexane has been shown to be an important component in polymer film and can be used as a chain-reaction initiator for a variety of reactions. The reaction mechanism for this compound is not well understood, but it has been shown to react with compounds such as hydroxyl groups and aromatic hydrocarbons, forming reaction products. Tridecylcyclohexane has also been shown to produce particle sizes in the range of 10 micrometers, which are smaller than most other organic compounds. Kinetic data for tridecylcyclohexane have not yet been reported.
