Description:
(2E)-1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)prop-2-en-1-one is a compound with photochemical properties. It reacts with light to form the photodimer, (2E)-1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)propane. The x-ray structure of (2E)-1-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)propane was determined and analysed using parameters from the crystal structure analysis of chalcone. The geometrical and crystallographic data for this compound has been excluded because it does not crystallize or have an x-ray crystal structure.
