Description:
1,2-Bis(phenylsulfinyl)ethane (1,2-BPSE) is a ligand that has been shown to form metal complexes. 1,2-BPSE undergoes two isomerizations: the first is an allylic oxidation and the second is an acid-catalyzed allylation. The two products of these reactions can be distinguished by x-ray data and kinetic studies.
