9,10-Dihydro-9,9-dimethylacridine is a fluorescent compound that can be used to measure the transport properties of materials. It exhibits an intense blue fluorescence and has a high quantum yield. 9,10-Dihydro-9,9-dimethylacridine is soluble in organic solvents and crystallizes as two different crystalline polymorphs: one at room temperature and one at low temperatures. This compound has been shown to react with phenoxazine to form two different reaction products with different efficiencies for light emission.
