- 2-Methyl-N,N-diisopropylpropanamide
N,N-Diisopropyl-2-methylpropanamide is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used in the treatment of pain and inflammation. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of preeclampsia, bacterial vaginosis, and nonsedating enterobacter infections. N,N-Diisopropyl-2-methylpropanamide does not cross the blood brain barrier and therefore does not have any sedative properties. This medication is also used in steroid therapy for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. It has also been found to be useful in diagnosing pediatric patients with hypovitaminosis or technetium bone scans because it can help identify areas where bone growth is inhibited by inflammation. N,N-Diisopropyl-2-methylpropanamide can also be used to diagnose patients with carbapenemase
