Description

Isopropyl but-2-enoate is a clear, colorless liquid that is soluble in water. It is also soluble in alcohol and ether. Isopropyl but-2-enoate has been used as a solvent for pharmaceutical preparations, as well as a reagent and intermediate in organic syntheses. This compound can be made by the hydroxy group reacting with two molecules of particle, or through the hydroxyl group reacting with two molecules of fatty acid. In addition, it can be manufactured by polymerizing acrylates with asymmetric synthesis. The chemical formula for this substance is C8H14O3.
