Description

Basic Red 12 is a red dye that has been used in the textile industry for many years. This product is an insoluble polymer with antimicrobial properties. Basic Red 12 is a dipole, which means that it can be either positively or negatively charged depending on the pH of the solution. The viscosity of this product increases as the amount of cationic surfactant increases. Basic Red 12 has a high resistance to acidic and basic conditions, as well as to chloride ions. It also contains fatty acids and conditioning agents, which contribute to its resistance to water, oils, and light.
Basic Red 12 is soluble in hydroxyl-containing solvents such as ethanol and acetone, but not in chlorinated solvents such as dichloromethane or trichloroethylene.
