Tetramethyl-1,3,6,8-carbazole has been shown to have a number of uses such as optical materials in lasers and other devices. It also has the ability to act as a functional group for the synthesis of sulfones. In addition to its use in chemistry it can also be used thermally or optically with wavelengths ranging from 400 nm to 700 nm.
