Product Information
2,3-Dichlorophenyl Isothiocyanate (2,3-DCPITC) is a quinoline derivative that has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and inflammatory cells. 2,3-DCPITC binds to specific receptors on the surface of cells and induces an inhibitory effect on cell growth. It inhibits the production of chemokines in response to inflammatory stimuli, which may be involved in its anti-inflammatory properties. This chemical also has a potent inhibitory effect on epidermal growth factor (EGF), which is thought to be due to its alkylthio group. 2,3-DCPITC has been shown to have a beneficial effect for patients with autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
