Product Information
- n-Pentacontane
Pentacontane is a hydrocarbon with a viscosity of 5.5 cSt at 25 °C. It has a kinetic energy of 1,834 kJ/mol and a polymeric matrix, which may be due to its reaction products. Pentacontane has been shown to have an equilibrium phase in the covid-19 pandemic and mass analyzer spectra. Pentacontane is also used as an aromatic hydrocarbon or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) substrate in microbiology experiments. This molecule has been shown to exhibit antimicrobial activity against microbial infections caused by fatty acids.
