Product Information
Deacetylxylopic acid is a naturally occurring compound that is found in the leaves of the African tree Xylopia aethiopica. This molecule has been shown to have cyclic stereospecificity and can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of other compounds. Deacetylxylopic acid has been shown to have an effect on cotton, which may be due to its ability to react with dibromodifluoromethane (DBDMF) and produce a yellow dye. The bioassay also showed that deacetylxylopic acid is toxic to organisms, such as bacteria and fungi.
