Description:
2-Bromo-7-nitrofluorene is a fluorescent boronic acid that can be used as a fluorescent sensor for saccharides. This molecule has been shown to have high selectivity and affinity for ribose and fructose. 2-Bromo-7-nitrofluorene has been used in the development of linear response fluorescent sensors for saccharides. The fluorescence of this molecule is dependent on the pH and can be used to detect changes in pH, such as those found during cancer cell growth.
