Description:
Quinoxaline-2,3-diamine is an antibacterial agent with a high yield that inhibits the growth of organisms. It binds to bacterial ribosomes and prevents protein synthesis by inhibiting the condensation of amino acids into proteins. Quinoxaline-2,3-diamine has been shown to inhibit the growth of Schistosoma eggs and S. aureus at concentrations lower than those required for other bacteria. This drug has shown activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including haemonchus, xanthomonas, pseudomonas, and enterobacteriaceae.
