Description:
Delta-valerobetaine is a carnitine that is involved in the transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria. It has been shown to increase the level of gamma-aminobutyric acid in heart tissue and to decrease the levels of hippuric acid in faeces. Delta-Valerobetaine is also found in many dietary sources, such as beef, and can be metabolized by bacteria that reside in the gut.
Delta-Valerobetaine has been shown to increase the production of fatty acids and subsequently reduce the levels of fatty acids in cardiac tissue. This compound has also been shown to inhibit chronic kidney disease progression and increase energy metabolism.
