Product Information
Mesaconine is an alkaloid found in the roots of Aconitum species. It has been shown to have a cardiac effect and can be used as an analytical method for detecting other aconitine-type alkaloids in plant or animal samples. Mesaconine is also used to treat metabolic disorders and has been shown to be effective against human serum. The LC-MS/MS method was used as a detection technique for mesaconine, which was found to be sensitive enough to detect concentrations as low as 0.1 μg/mL. The matrix effect may affect the sensitivity of this technique, so it should be carried out in a nutrient solution with a hydroxyl group such as methanol or ethanol.
