2-[2-(Piperazin-1-yl)ethyl]-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-1,3-dione is a 5HT1A receptor agonist. It is a maleate salt of the 5HT1A receptor agonist 2-[2-(piperazin-1-yl)ethyl]-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindole-1,3-- dione. It has been shown to decrease blood pressure and to be mediated by the activation of the 5HT1A receptor. 2-[2-(Piperazin-1-yl)ethyl]-2,3-- dihydro - 1H - isoindole - 1,3-- dione has been shown to have an effect on reaction time and diastolic pressure in dose dependent studies.
