Product Information

Name:
2-Methoxycarbazole
Description:

2-Methoxycarbazole is an organic compound that is a dipole with a constant of 1.41 D and a molecular weight of 122.2 g/mol. It is soluble in water, methanol, ether, chloroform, and benzene. It has a melting point of -10 degrees Celsius and boiling point of 188 degrees Celsius. Cytochrome p450 inhibitors are molecules that inhibit the activity of cytochrome p450 enzymes which are involved in the metabolism and elimination of many drugs and toxic compounds from the body. 2-Methoxycarbazole inhibits the enzyme thiocyanation by binding to it. This prevents the conversion of thiocyanate (SCN) to cyanide (CN), which results in an increase in the concentration of CN in urine and plasma. 2-Methoxycarbazole also inhibits other enzymes such as methoxy groups, isomeric, functional theory, proton and others.br>
