Description:
4-(2-Chlorophenoxymethyl)phenylboronic acid is a potent inhibitor of bradykinin B2 receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cultured endothelial cells and cause vasorelaxation in isolated rat aorta. This compound also has a hypotensive effect in rats, which may be due to its ability to enhance the activity of bradykinin B2 receptors. 4-(2-Chlorophenoxymethyl)phenylboronic acid is not toxic to mice and rats at doses up to 2000 mg/kg.
