Product Information
BCN-PEG4-acid is a research tool that can be used to study the effects of ion channels and receptors. BCN-PEG4-acid is a ligand that binds to cell surface receptors, activating them or inhibiting their activity. The peptide has been shown to act as an agonist for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in rat erythrocytes and can inhibit the activity of the glycine receptor in mouse dorsal root ganglia. BCN-PEG4-acid has also been shown to stimulate the release of nitric oxide from rat peritoneal macrophages and inhibit serotonin uptake into rat synaptosomes.
BCN-PEG4-acid is soluble in water and buffers with pH values between 3 and 8, making it suitable for use in a variety of applications. The compound is available at high purity, which means it contains less than 1% impurities, including proteins, peptides, oligosac
