Description:
7-Allyloxycoumarin is a coumarin derivative that is biodegradable and has anticancer activity. It is used to treat cancer, as well as to inhibit the production of collagen in tumor tissue. The drug enters cells by passive diffusion and binds to the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which inhibits the breakdown of acetylcholine. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve junctions and an increase in muscular contractions. 7-Allyloxycoumarin can also be used for the treatment of asthma and other respiratory disorders.
