Titanium chloride tetrahydrofuran complex is an anticancer agent that is a coordination compound. This compound is a coordination polymer that has been shown to have anticancer activity. Titanium chloride tetrahydrofuran complex has been used in the synthesis of Zr-based nonpolar solvents, copolymers and polymers. It can be obtained by salt metathesis reactions with magnesium chloride and chloroform. The titanium(IV) chloride tetrahydrofuran complex molecule is planar, with a bond length of 1.846 Å and a bond angle of 117°. The solid state structure was determined by x-ray crystallography and found to be [TiCl(THF)]ClO4 with a space group P2/c, lattice parameters
a = 10.726 Å, b = 12.857 Å, c = 9.906 Å, β = 105° and Z = 4
