Taxifolin 3'-glucoside has been shown to inhibit pancreatic lipase activity and may be used for the treatment of hyperlipidemia. It has also been shown to have radical scavenging activities and anti-inflammatory properties. The structural studies on taxifolin 3'-glucoside have shown that it is an aglycone, meaning that it does not have any sugar molecules attached to it. This can be seen by its molecular formula C15H10O7 with a molecular weight of 320.2 g/mol. It also has two stereoisomers: (3R,4R)-taxifolin 3'-glucoside and (3S,4S)-taxifolin 3'-glucoside.
