Product Information
3-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) inhibitor that binds to the active site of DNA polymerases, inhibiting their activity. 3-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid has been shown to stabilize complexes with nucleic acids and carbohydrates, which may be due to its ability to bind to the hydroxyl groups on these molecules. 3-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid has also been shown to inhibit drug binding by interfering with the binding of drugs such as cisplatin and doxorubicin to their protein target. This compound has also been shown to inhibit growth factor activity, as well as configure and crystallize cellulose in vitro. Cellulase activity is inhibited by 3-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1H-
