Description:
Heraclenol is a coumarin derivative that inhibits the enzyme activity of human topoisomerase I, which is an enzyme responsible for maintaining the integrity of DNA. It has been shown to inhibit replication of oral pathogens in test tubes and in vivo. Heraclenol also has a light-emitting property and may be used as a pharmaceutical preparation.
