- (S)-2-(2-Pyrrolidinyl)Acetic Acid
(S)-2-(Pyrrolidin-2-yl)acetic acid is a chiral molecule that has been used in the diagnosis of asymmetric synthesis. It is reactive and can be used as a substrate for amine uptake. (S)-2-(Pyrrolidin-2-yl)acetic acid has been shown to bind to the GABA transporter, which is a membrane protein that transports GABA across the membrane of cells that are sensitive to this neurotransmitter. This compound has also been used in molecular modeling and studies have shown that it can activate nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
