- 3,5-Dichloro-P-Anisyl Alcohol
- Phenol, 3,5-dichloro-4-methoxy-
3,5-Dichloro-4-methoxyphenol is a toxic substance that is an anthropogenic, polychlorinated, dichlorinated, and tetrachlorinated byproduct of chlorine. It is a hydroxyl group with a chlorine atom attached to the 3rd and 4th carbon atoms on the phenol molecule. This chemical has been shown to cause mineralization in basidiomycete fungi. 3,5-Dichloro-4-methoxyphenol can be degraded by bacteria or fungi and can be dechlorinated by certain microorganisms to form tetrachlorohydroquinone.
