Luteolin 7-sulfate is a flavonoid that is found in plants. It can be extracted from the leaves of many plants, including the flowers of chamomile and lavender. Luteolin 7-sulfate has been shown to inhibit tyrosinase activity, which may be related to its ability to act as a transcriptional modulator of gene expression. This compound has also demonstrated antimicrobial activity against human epidermal keratinocytes and murine melanoma cells.
