Product Information
OL-135 is a heterocycle that is an irreversible enzyme inhibitor. It binds irreversibly to the active site of the enzyme and blocks enzymatic activity. OL-135 has been shown to inhibit a number of enzymes, including fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), which hydrolyzes endocannabinoids, and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), which catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2. OL-135 also inhibits other enzymes, such as cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) and phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4). The pharmacokinetic properties of OL-135 have been studied in rats and mice. There are no clinical data on human use at this time.
