Description:
N1-(4,6-Dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-1,4-diamine is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that has been shown to have chemoprotective effects against radiation and oxidative injury. The compound has been shown to induce autophagy and apoptosis. N1-(4,6-Dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-1,4-diamine also appears to be an effective dose for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. This drug is a potential drug target for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases as it inhibits the translation of proteins in neurons. N1-(4,6-Dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-1,4-diamine also has growth factor activity which can be used to treat conditions such as cachexia or diabetes.
