Dicyclohexyl-2-{2-[(dicyclohexylcarbamoyl)methoxy]phenoxy}acetamide (DCHP) is an organic solvent that belongs to the class of ionophores. It interacts with a number of proteins and cell membranes, mainly by hydrogen bonding. DCHP has been shown to be effective in high concentrations as an inhibitor of potassium ion transport across the cell membrane. This agent also has a constant concentration in blood plasma and is hydrated at physiological pH. DCHP also has functional groups such as amide and carboxylic acid, which are important for its chemical properties.
DCHP's optical properties can be described as having a low absorption coefficient, which indicates that it absorbs light weakly. This agent is also relatively neutral with a pH close to 7.
