Product Information
Tert-butyl 4-(1-(pyridin-4-yl)piperidin-4-yl)oxy)piperidine-1-carboxylate (TBPCP), also known as tert-butyl 4-[(4-aminoquinazolin-2(3H)-yl)oxy]piperidine-1-carboxylate, is a potential biomarker for fetal bovine serum. TBPCP reacts with the amino acid methionine in proteins to form an iminium ion. The iminium ion is then hydrolyzed by hydrochloric acid to release tert butylamine, which is then analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. This reaction can be used in sample preparation and analytical methods for the determination of TBPCP concentration. It has been shown that TBPCP may have synergistic effects with trifluoroacetic acid and sodium carbonate during asymmetric
