Product Information
- N-Boc-D-Valine Methyl Ester
- N-tert-Butoxycarbonyl-D-valine methyl ester
Boc-D-Val-Ome is a zinc powder that is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents. Preparative NMR analysis of this compound showed two peaks at 6.12 ppm and 7.07 ppm. The methyl ester was then reacted with azide to form the corresponding triazole, which was hydrolyzed with ammonium formate to yield the desired product. This compound can be prepared by refluxing trifluoroacetic acid with Boc-D-Val-OH in chloroform and acetone, followed by adding hydrochloric acid to precipitate the salt of the desired product.
