Product Information
- Ethyl 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl carbonate
- 2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl ethyl carbonate
- Carbonic acid, ethyl 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl ester
Ethyl (2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) carbonate is a viscosity reducer that can be used in the preparation of coatings and printing inks. Ethyl (2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) carbonate has been shown to reduce the viscosity of many organic solvents by up to 90%. It also has an efficiency of up to 100% and can be used for cyclic voltammetry. This chemical has been shown to produce morphologies with high degree of symmetry. The average electron transfer rate for ethyl (2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) carbonate is 4.5 x 10 mol/s. The synergy between lithium metal and ethyl (2,2,2-trifluoroethyl) carbonate has been studied by cyclic voltammetry and microscopy.
