Tert-Butyl N-[1-(prop-2-yn-1-yl)piperidin-4-yl]carbamate has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the human Nav1.8 sodium channel, with an IC50 of 0.3 nM, and also inhibits the human Nav1.9 voltage gated potassium channel with an IC50 of 0.5 nM. This compound also has affinity for peptides that bind to receptors and antihistamines that bind to H2 receptors.
