Product Information
Cobalt(II) hexafluoroacetylacetonate hydrate is a coordination compound with the formula Co(CO)[PF]·3HO. It is a deep blue, crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents. The compound consists of a cobalt ion coordinated by six acetylacetonate ligands, three from each CO group. The complex adopts a polyhedron structure consisting of two pyrazolyl-type monomers and two n-oxide monomers. The Co-O distances are 2.06 Å and the Co-N distances are 2.08 Å. Cobalt hexafluoroacetylacetonate hydrate has been studied extensively for its absorption spectroscopy, crystal structures, and analytical methods such as electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). This coordination compound exhibits polymorphism with two different crystalline forms: monoclinic and tetragonal.
