Product Information

Name:
1-Hydrazinoisoquinoline hydrobromide hydrate
Synonyms:
  • Isoquinoline, 1-hydrazinyl-, hydrobromide, hydrate (1:1:1)
Description:

1-Hydrazinoisoquinoline hydrobromide hydrate is a heterocyclic compound that contains an electron-deficient imidazole ring. It is a yellow solid that is soluble in water and methanol. 1-Hydrazinoisoquinoline hydrobromide hydrate can be prepared from 1,2-diamines by cyclization with chloroformates to give the corresponding 2,4,5-trichlorobenzoxazole derivatives which are then reacted with bromine. The synthesis of this compound has been optimized by steric effects and electronic effects. This compound has been shown to have deficient electron density on the nitrogen atom, which gives it a high stability towards oxidation.
