Description:
3-[(4-Formylphenoxy)methyl]thiophene-2-carbonitrile is a synthetic substance that has been reported to be activated by cellular dehydrogenase. It is biodegradable and can be used as a synthetic precursor for the synthesis of polymers. 3-[(4-Formylphenoxy)methyl]thiophene-2-carbonitrile has been shown to have antifungal activity against filamentous fungi such as Coprinus aquaticus. The compound also inhibits the growth of cationic polymerization, which is an important process in industrial production. 3-[(4-Formylphenoxy)methyl]thiophene-2-carbonitrile can be used as a carbon source for proton reduction and oxidation products, which are generated through the hydrogenation of this compound.
