Product Information
G-1 is an activated form of the thymidine phosphorylase (TPase) enzyme. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of TPase in both mitotic and interphase cells, but not in G2 phase cells. G-1 also inhibits the activation of cycloheximide, which is a known inhibitor of protein synthesis. In addition, it has been observed that G-1 can inhibit the growth of granulosa cells and inflammatory bowel disease in mice. This drug has been shown to be effective against experimental models of autoimmune diseases such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and sephadex g-100. Finally, G-1 has also been shown to have antibacterial properties by inhibiting bacterial enzymes such as those found in bowel disease.
