Product Information
Parvifolixanthone B is a natural product that has been shown to have antibacterial and anti-cancer activities. The structure of this compound consists of a xanthone group and it has been found to have antioxidative activity. Parvifolixanthone B has also been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. This compound binds to DNA and inhibits transcription, as well as prevents the cell from making proteins by inhibiting protein synthesis. Parvifolixanthone B also inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells in culture at low concentrations, and has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells lines (e.g., MDA-MB-231).
