Benzyl 3,8-diazabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-8-carboxylate is a benzyl derivative that has been shown to act as a potent agonist of the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPARγ). It has been used for the preparation of high performance liquid chromatography (Hplc) columns and in biological studies to study gene expression in vitro. In vitro studies have also shown that it can be used to study energy metabolism and regulate miapaca-2 cells by activating PPARγ receptors.
